Der ehemalige New Yorker CBGB-Soundman Tommy Victor gründete Prong 1987 als Outlet für Sonic Fury. Prong hatte seine Wurzeln in der Thrash Metal- und Hardcore-Szene und schuf sich schnell eine eigene Nische. Der Sound war groovig, wütend, massiv; einfach perfekte Mosh-Musik. Das Trio zerstörte Bühnen und beeindruckte das Publikum auf der ganzen Welt. Ihr erstes Album auf einem Major-Label versprach der New Yorker Industrial-Hardcore-Metal-Band Prong eine glänzende Zukunft. „Beg To Differ“ enthält 10 knallharte Tracks, von denen das Video zum Titel-Track bei MTV auf heavy Rotation gesetzt wurde. Die zweite Single „Lost And Found“fand bei den Fans gleichermaßen Zuspruch. Chugga Chugga Riffs, getriggerte Drums und wütende Vocals waren das Erfolgsrezept.
